Retail rewards is an easy to use Terminal based card system using smart card technology to offer a customer loyalty solution to any industry sector. The retail rewards loyalty solution rewards your customers with loyalty points every time they make a purchase from your business The system uses plastic credit card style loyalty cards to accurately store this information, whilst providing a professional image of your company that a customer keep in their wallet, acting as a constant reminder of your company. The Retail rewards systems loyalty system encourages your customers to become loyal to you, and in return for their loyalty you give them something back in the form of rewards points that they then redeem with your business. This then generates repeat business, increased customer visits, and the amount of money they spend during each visit.

How does it work?

The Loyalty Terminal manufactured by Gemplus the worlds leading smart card solution provider. The loyalty Terminal is stand alone device and allows the user to scan the loyalty card and carryout the transactions required.

Automatically work out points value to be added?

The Loyalty Terminals can be programmed to take into account the Trip Value of the loyalty scheme that your running. What this means is that, if you are running a scheme where each card holder is awarded 1 point for every 1 spent you can set the Terminal up so that all you have to do when awarding points is to key in the amount of money spent and the Terminals works out how many points to be added.

Key Cards

The Loyalty Terminal is programmed using special Key cards. The Manager Key card is used for setting the date and time and also setting the trip value of the scheme you running as explained above. The Clerk card is the card that is used to add or subtract points from a customer's loyalty card, you put the card into the Terminal and is then set into Clerk mode, once this is done you inset the customer card and then add or subtract points. The other Key card is the Add points card this card allows you to add points onto a customer loyalty card outside of any scheme you are running

The Loyalty card

This is the card you will give to your customers , and which they will collect their points on, it is a pre-programmed smart card that enables the loyalty system to run. When the card is inserted to the Terminal, the Terminal reads the information on the card by accessing the chip embedded into the card. When points are added to the card, the reader simply writes the information onto the microchip.
