Three new products from Microscan for Track, Trace, and Control Solutions

As the technology leader for Auto ID and Machine Vision, Microscan is proud to introduce three new products: I-PAK packaging inspection solution, MINI Hawk imager, and the QX-870 laser barcode scanner.

New Visionscope I-PAK SE

The Visionscape Series includes a comprehensive line of machine vision system solutions, with total scalability from smart cameras to PC-based systems. The new I-PAK SE is a vertical solution for manufacturing applications that require inspection, data and lot verification, and more.

The Visionscape I-PAK inspection system is the proven solution chosen by major manufacturers worldwide. Based on a selection of powerful machine vision tools and a simple user interface, I-PAK meets demanding industry requirements for reliable, accurate and verified inspection of labels and products. Powerful Software:  Based on the powerful Visionscape software, I-PAK offers a comprehensive selection of proven vision processing tools. The I-PAK user interface makes setup and deployment of applications fast and easy, and allows 100% verification of every product on the line.

Fail-Safe Identification:  I-PAK provides fail-safe identification of incorrect or illegible characters while tolerating normal print variation. Proven robust OCV algorithms adapt to acceptable changes in pre-printed or overprinted codes to reduce false rejects.

FDA Compliance:  I-PAK enables pharmaceutical manufacturers to comply with FDA’s current Good Manufacturing Practices and meets the requirements of 21 CFR Part 11 through user access control features and audit trail capabilities.

New MINI Hawk Imager

MINI Hawk imagers pack aggressive direct part mark (DPM) reading algorithms into a miniature imager that is both powerful and easy to use for barcode and 2D track, trace and control applications. Aggressive decoding is ensured through X-Mode technology, which reads damaged or difficult symbols with no configuration or setup required.

The MINI Hawk offers all the performance and features of the popular Quadrus MINI with added benefits of easy setup and aggressive decoding.

With high speed and high resolution configurations available, there is a MINI Hawk imager to solve virtually any challenging application.

Decode Any Symbol:  The MINI Hawk consistently reads damaged, distorted or otherwise challenging direct part marks with our patented decode algorithms.

Autofocus:  For real time dynamic autofocus, position the symbol at the center of the field of view, and push the EZ button. The MINI Hawk automatically adjusts focal distance and sets internal parameters to optimize the symbol.

Wide Field of View:  Read symbols as large as 2” (50.8 mm) square as close as 1” (25.4 mm) with diffractive field illumination and optional right angle mirror.

X–Mode Technology:  In addition to the most aggressive decoding available, X-Mode technology provides easy setup and deployment of the MINI Hawk in any application.

Compact and Lightweight:  Miniature form factor fits easily in tight spaces, and is lightweight for mounting into robotic applications.

New QX-870 Laser Scanner

The QX-870 laser scanner partners the latest technologies in barcode reading and connectivity into an easy to use solution for barcode track, trace and control applications. Simple to set up and deploy, it features a programmable sweeping raster to read multiple codes, in varying locations, even if they are damaged or misaligned.

The QX-870 industrial laser scanner combines an intelligent sweeping raster with our most aggressive decoding capabilities to reliably read 1D barcodes in almost any automation environment.

With plug and play setup and the most aggressive decode algorithms available, the QX-870 an ideal laser scanner for any industrial application. Quick Connect System:

X-Mode Technology:

High Performance:  Aggressive decoding capabilities allow reliable reading of barcodes out to 30” (762 cm), at up to a 10” (25.4 cm) beam width.

Intelligent Raster:  In addition to sweep angle and speed controls, the QX-870 features a programmable raster with intelligent auto framing technology. Advanced software will automatically frame the raster height and width of the laser to match the barcode, allowing selective targeting of codes within a single read cycle.

Ethernet Protocols: The QX-870 includes optional embedded Ethernet TCP/IP and EtherNet/IP for high speed communication.
