Leading mobile computer technology company VisionID has just completed a €250,000 deal to provide Dairygold Agri stores with Motorola handheld computers and wireless infrastructure which will track and trace all stock in their 39 agri business outlets throughout Munster.
Managed services supporting the hardware in the field are provided in conjunction with CORE Integrated Business Solutions based in Mitchelstown, Co. Cork who have provided their entire "sector specific" CORE|Agri software solution in Dairygold’s Agri Division including Branch Business Systems, Milling, Contracts, Transport Scheduler etc., this integrates with the group financials provided by Oracle. VisionID sales director Cathal Murtagh said the deal would include the preloading of software and staging of the devices - making the entire process and delivery to the stores as seamless as possible. Established in 2000, VisionID specialises in the provision of Mobile Computing, Wireless LAN, RFID and Barcode Printing and Scanning solutions, with a particular expertise in integration to ERP systems and Managed Services and Support. Dairygold Co-Operative Society Limited is Ireland's largest farmer- owned business. After a strategic review of their business information systems, it was recommended that the future BIS strategy should include replacement of all legacy systems. |
