The Socket CF RFID Reader Scan Card 6E is a dual function high frequency barcode scanner and RFID reader that is equipped with a class II laser for meeting the requirements of more demanding applications outdoors or long distance ones. Thus it makes the mobile PC more powerful for data collection since it reads all linear barcodes, reads and writes to all the ISO 15693 applications and most of the proprietary 13.56 MHz RFID tags. It has the support of the SocketScan Keyboard wedge software that enables transfer of data from selected memory blocks as well as RFID tag IDs as virtual keystrokes without needing any custom programming. The SocketScan SDK is available optionally to those wanting to embed control of the RFID Reader read/write functionality into their applications. It draws its power from the host PC and therefore does not require additional chargers.
