The Metrologic MS1890 Focus comes equipped with special productivity enhancing features not found in other rugged area imagers. Its patented Code Select Technology allows capturing of seven barcodes in a single flash and then decoding them in any predefined form. It additionally has the open system architecture called TotalFreedom, which allows the developing of value-added custom application modules that can e stored in the imager rather than the host system. It is equipped with a powerful processor, a high-resolution imaging sensor, can withstand two meter drops, has an IP 54 sealing, and is capable of reading damaged codes with ease. Its omni directional scanning makes it fit for retail, manufacturing, transportation and logistics applications.
