Intermec Technologies received in the 2010 Business Solutions Magazine Best Channel Vendor plum in the mobility hardware and data collection category. VAR subscribers selected the top channel vendors, which are collated in this yearly list.
The SVP for Global Sales, Jim McDonnell, was thankful for the recognition, he said, “It’s great to be recognized and validated by the VAR community for our ongoing commitment to the channel.” According to him, the need to bring the latest products to bolster their lead in the market has inspired their company to focus on developing their cooperation with their channel partners. In a web-based study made on VAR clients, Business Solutions assessed seven groups, the study covered the period from the middle of September until the early part of October 2009. These groups included the responsiveness of the channel, programs in the channel, qualities of the product, service and support, consistency of the product as well as ample margins from the VAR. The vendors who made it into the Best Channel Vendors list constitute the top 15 percent of the vendors in each group.
Last October, the CN3 handheld computer from Intermec Technologies was chosen by the Business Solutions Magazine as the Best Channel Product from the most complete all-around portable business portfolio in the industry. In a soon-to-be held Intermec Partner Summit in Orlando, Florida from February 8 to 10, the channel will get the chance to see the improvements made to the channel programs of Intermec, according to MacDonnell. The company anticipates record highs in partner satisfaction during the summit.
Aside from the announcement of the latest Intermec channel programs, the Intermec Partner Awards list will also be announced during the occasion. Business Solutions will highlight Intermec together with other awardees in its January 2010 issue.
